‘Splosion Man is one hell of a tough
game! It
possess that challenge that games of yesteryear used to
throw at us, but while it can be maddeningly difficult,
it still manages to throw in a good dose of laughter, fun
and satisfaction as well.
You control ‘Splosion Man, a human
torch that can explode on command. To attack enemies, you
explode, to jump and double jump, you explode, everything
you need to do in this game involve, and you guessed it,
exploding.

Stand
back ladies, I'm 'bout to
'splode!!!!
You really should think of this game as a
platform puzzle adventure, you pretty much have to
navigate from one side of the level to the other and
working out how to do so is where the challenge sits,
because the nature of the game design doesn’t allow you
to sit and contemplate on how you’re going to get past
the next set of obstacles, you’ll need to possess
lightning quick reflexes to progress.

Ok, so what if 'splosion man is a little creepy - at lest
he isn't tubby like ball man
here
There really is no margin for error and you can
expect to die quite a lot, the nice thing that balances
this is that you have unlimited lives and the checkpoints
are nicely placed. The multiplayer modes
are quite good fun and you can actually work through some
original challenges with a buddy. The game supports up to
four players so there is plenty of ‘Splodin enough for
everyone.
This game sits with the cream of the Xbox Arcade
crop. It’s
quirky, original, addictive and frustratingly
hard. A
perfect way to pass a couple of hours between bouts of
Street Fighter 4 or Fallout 3. If you enjoy
using your lightning fingers and some brainpower,
‘Splosion Man should definitely appeal to
you.

This sounds strangely fun, especially if there's co-op exploding action. I
need more co-op games.
I'm not very good at constant defeat though -_-;
(P.S Splosion Man looks like a cross between Elmo and Gollum. Just me?)
